How can we tackle malnutrition in India?

  India is one of the highest-ranking countries in the world for the number of children suffering from malnutrition. I have been working for an online news media for the last 2 years and recently I worked on a documentary regarding malnutrition in India. To prepare the documentary I traveled with my crew to different villages in India and after visiting many villages I realized how critical is the condition of malnutrition in India. Poverty is the primary reason for malnutrition and major steps have to be taken to eradicate poverty. More steps should be taken to address the issue of malnutrition by the governments at the center and the state. Mid-day meal as a solution The mid-day meal programme is a major step taken by the government to fight against the issue of malnutrition. Currently, students till class 8 are getting meals at schools. The government has created a menu to ensure that the students are getting nutritious food. Since the launch of the mid-day meal programmer , the
